'Wander down Fawe Street in London’s East End and, among the terraced houses and modern apartment complexes, you’ll spot a brown-brick factory. This site is home to a bronze-casting specialists who quietly help some of the world’s leading artists realise their work.

Over two years, photographer Cat Hyland went behind the scenes to document their work for A-list artists.

The series ‘Puppy Biscuits’ investigates the division of labour in the art world. It looks at the relationship between makers, the people who employ them and the 'language' required of materials in a sculptural sense. The focus for the project is to gain understanding around accessibility, care and facilitation in relation to the division of labour.

The idea is to look at the skilled makers involved in the process of creating artworks for some of the world’s best known artists – people and work that often remain invisible to the public.'
