David Harriman, US Election

Doug, voting for Trump. Didn’t fight two tours in Vietnam to have a socialist government.

Norman, voting Trump. Wants to keep his guns and has an oil well in Texas so doesn’t want to see less reliance on oil.
image
Lance, runs the garage. Says the US is in big trouble if Trump loses
image
Dale, a rare undecided voter in these parts. Want to see how he feels on the day
image
Preston, an ardent conspiracy theorist. Admits to being somewhat of a hermit. Will not be voting as believes they are all criminals.

A copy of the letter Preston had just sent to the nearest hospital accusing them of deliberately killing everyone.

There’s no shortage of flags. Most, like the town, have seen better days.

November 2020

An avid observer of the American psyche, David has been in the US shooting personal work these last weeks, as he has for the last four US elections.

The colour images are from a remote town in Nevada, early in the week before the election.

The black and white work is a few days into vote counting, David couldn’t resist going to where the crucial count of the main Nevada votes was taking place. The Trump supporters wanted the count stopped and conspiracy theories were rampant.

David is still in the USA now. As we get to the darker months of the year it might be worth worth keeping in mind, if you are in need of a project shooting in warmer and brighter climes.
